Rough Cut 1
This is our rough cut, we finally got all of the shooting done and edited them together. We are aware there are a few things that need to be edited quicker and we will do this in the holidays when we come into school. We are pleased with the effects that we have used such as the red tint and the night vision on a few. We think that theses give a good effect. While watching our rough cut we have realised that the edits could be abit faster due to the speed of the song. Also the shot where Greg is miming had to be reshot a few times in order to get the sound to be in time with the video, we eventually got it right. During the holidays we will be working on the print based products and some of the edits; so we may have a new rough cut uploaded some time this week.

I would have liked to see the print products as well. How is your video going to tie into these?
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned, the editing could really do with being on the beat (quite often you are just slightly off). Also, as mentioned, you need to make sure that the pace of editing is faster (it's way too slow for the nature of the song).
By the 0:15s mark I would expect to see twice as many edits as there have been.
A lot of the time you edit a little too early (for example, at about 1:46, where we can see you pause just beore you start).
This is actually quite good; if the rest of the video is like this (assuming the editing is tightened up and the pace is increased), I would think this would be L4.
