This CD cover is from plan b’s first album called ‘who needs actions when you’ve got words’ immediately we see the kind of image he is trying to promote; the graffiti connotes that he is singing about a run down place where there is a lot of crime. It is on a brick wall which gives the idea that youths have done the graffiti out of boredom (this is the stereotypical idea that is given by all types of media). The wall is shown to be dirty which also represents the idea that the CD is about a run down place. We immediately are given an idea of what type of genre it might be; it is a hip hop/grime album which is the type of music video we want to create. The title ‘who needs actions when you’ve got words’ is effective as it is promoting the idea that violence and crime should not go ahead because words are enough to sort anything out. This is effective as the target audience of the album which is teenagers may listen to this and not be as violent and commit crimes. This is good as Plan b may be someone who the aspire to be like and by him promoting this idea then the teenagers that it is aimed at may change the way they live.
